Archibald Beach Park and Madeira Beach is a little strip of sunshine is what all of Gulf Blvd used to look like before it became one big Timeshare. Enjoy it now!!
I used to live in Florida and Madeira Beach was always my favorite beach. I have not been there for 15 years and was a little nervous about any changes or decline. I did not need to be worried. What a gorgeous place! Beautiful sunsets, sand and surf. Archibald Beach Park water is clear and the bottom is completely sand so nothing to hurt your feet if you remember to shuffle while walking. We are not ocean swimmers, but there were numerous adults and children in the water at all times without incident.
The Archibald Beach Park water is warm and calm and the beaches are like powdered sugar. If you can't get to the Caribbean, this is the next best thing.
There are so many beautiful places along the Gulf Coast to view the sunset but Madeira Beach is extraordinary! Archibald Beach Park is tucked among rocks groupings, hidden inlets and bends and twists in the land mass, Madeira Beach has exquisite settings for romance, goofiness, 'family' time viewing or just that perfect spot to reflect alone and say "good night" to a glorious day in Florida. After a fun day of water play, dining and shopping at Johns Pass, end your day in peace and tranquility on Madeira Beach!
Our condo was across the street from the beach but it was only a couple hundred feet walk. The city was very clean and the main roads had plenty of bike paths with riders. All of the places we ate at were great. The Archibald Beach Park beach was clean and you can rent chairs and umbrellas.
Pinellas County is one of the most densely populated counties in Florida. It is both families friendly and romantic. Madeira beaches are gorgeous and somewhat secluded---as compared to Clearwater Beach. There are TONS of restaurants...from casual to dressy. It's convenient to get to and a lot of the island is pedestrian friendly. There are many shops and fun restaurants Frog Pond, The Conch Republic, to name a few) also just a way up you can get to Johns Pass where you can find trinket shops and nicer stores to get clothes and bags. We love it here, PERFECT for Families! We love it here and Archibald Beach Park.
